About the Author

In her debut historical novel,

Where the Jacarandas

Weep, author Anna Ayala

transports readers to 19th-century Mexico

to explore the dramatic,

forbidden romances and strict class divides of the

Vera family. The sweeping saga is the result of a

profound ten-year writing journey that began and

ended in the beautiful city of Guadalajara.

When she isn't bringing history to life, Anna runs a

business dedicated to serving the dental needs of

local seniors and teaches high school history and

middle school biology across several homeschooling

co-ops. Residing in South Texas with her husband

and three sons, she enjoys playing golf

and spending time playing her classical guitar.

You can discover
